Macromedia Flash isn’t just for creating fancy animations and games, you can use it to easily turn anything into a cartoon with simple brush strokes. In this cartooning example I’ve used a picture of myself.

Flash makes creating a cartoon extremely easy, you could sit in Illustrator or Photoshop messing with the pen tools and brushes, or use Flash and be done literally within minutes. All you have to do is use the brush and make some simple strokes. Flash has a setting for auto-smooth which will help smooth out your lines and make them look awesome. This is also what gives your drawing the “cartoon” look.

Here’s my result that took no more than ten minutes and by using the mouse, no Wacom tablet here.
